Understanding Title IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities at federally funded institutions. This includes protection against sexual harassment, sexual violence, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and other forms of misconduct. NAK supports Title IX compliance by educating members and connecting them with campus resources to ensure a safe environment.
