Campus Title IX Resources: Empowering NAK’s Brotherhood

Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. (NAK) is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful brotherhood, aligning with our values of academics, culture, and brotherhood. Our Sexual Misconduct Policy and Risk Management Education Policy emphasize preventing sexual harassment and violence. Title IX, a federal law, prohibits sexual harassment and sexual violence in educational settings, ensuring all students have equal access to education. NAK provides resources and campus-specific Title IX contact information to support our members, survivors, and allies across our active chapters in California, Colorado, and Nevada.

Explore the resources below and our chapter-specific Title IX contacts to know your rights and access support.

Understanding Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities at federally funded institutions. This includes protection against sexual harassment, sexual violence, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and other forms of misconduct. NAK supports Title IX compliance by educating members and connecting them with campus resources to ensure a safe environment. Key resources include:
  • U.S. Department of Education – Office for Civil Rights (OCR): Provides guidance on Title IX rights, including protections against sexual harassment and violence. Learn more at ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/docs/title-ix-rights-201104.html.
  • Culture of Respect: Promotes organizational change to end sexual violence through education and advocacy. Explore resources at cultureofrespect.org.
  • These resources empower NAK members to understand their rights, access support, and foster a culture of respect on campus.

    Chapter-Specific Title IX Contacts

To ensure our brothers have direct access to support, NAK provides a comprehensive list of Title IX contact information for each university hosting our chapters. This includes contact details for Title IX coordinators, who handle reports of sexual misconduct and provide resources for survivors and allies.
