NAKFest

NAKfest, the signature event of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc., is the ultimate annual family reunion where alumni and undergraduates reconnect, celebrate brotherhood, and inspire one another. Held every April since 1999 for optimal weather, this vibrant gathering traces its roots to 1989, when the Founding Chapter at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, hosted San Jose State University for the inaugural event. What began with 50 brothers competing in softball, football, and basketball has grown into a cornerstone of NAK’s legacy, fostering community service, campus involvement, and lifelong bonds. By 1996, with chapters like Sonoma State and San Diego State joining, NAKfest welcomed 200 attendees, evolving into a dynamic weekend featuring National Board elections, a signature dinner and dance, and fierce sports competitions including soccer, volleyball, and even pie-eating contests. From its humble beginnings to its status as a marquee fraternity event, NAKfest empowers new members, motivates undergraduates, and strengthens the brotherhood of Nu Alpha Kappa.
